Terms of Service
Last updated: February 23, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using PrivacyChecker.com (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of service
PrivacyChecker.com provides digital privacy auditing tools including password breach checking, email breach scanning, username reconnaissance, website compliance scanning, WHOIS privacy analysis, phone number exposure checking, and data broker detection and removal services. The Service aggregates data from third-party sources and presents it in a unified interface.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only to:
- Check your own personal information (email, password, username, phone number).
- Scan websites you own or have authorization to scan.
- Request removal of your own data from data broker sites.
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to look up other people's information without their consent.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer breach data to obtain plaintext passwords.
- Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-query the Service beyond normal use.
- Circumvent rate limits or access controls.
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to facilitate harm to others.
- Scan websites for the purpose of exploiting vulnerabilities found.
4. Accuracy of results
Scan results are provided on an “as is” basis. While we strive for accuracy, results depend on third-party data sources that may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. A “clean” scan result does not guarantee that your data has not been compromised. Compliance scores are informational and do not constitute legal advice. Consult a qualified legal professional for compliance guidance.
5. Accounts and subscriptions
Some features require a registered account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis and can be cancelled at any time. Upon cancellation, you retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
6. Data broker removal
Our data broker removal service submits opt-out requests on your behalf. By using this feature, you authorize PrivacyChecker to act as your agent for the purpose of requesting data deletion from third-party data broker sites. Removal is not guaranteed — data brokers may decline requests, re-list data, or have varying processing times. We provide status updates but cannot control the actions of third-party sites.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, code, and content, is owned by PrivacyChecker.com and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Scan results generated for you are yours to use, share, and export. Breach data displayed in results is sourced from third-party databases and attributed accordingly.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PrivacyChecker.com shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through your dashboard settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
